Internship:
Fall 2025
During Fall 2025 I had the opportunity to work as an Intern in the Center for Teaching with Technology. I had the chance to work on a variety of projects including developing learning content and facilitating workshops. This experience allowed me to gain the experience working within the Instructional Technology field. Below are some of the projects I developed this semester.
ESU PowerPoint Template
Created a Microsoft Powerpoint master slide template for ESU utilizing approved color scheme, university logos and backgrounds. Ensure that PowerPoint is accessible. Assign alt text and reading order for content.
D2L Course Creation
Created a simple science course with 4 modules. Within those modules I included quizzes, discussions, drop boxes and news posts. I utilized links and images as well within the course. I also learned how to set up a grade book and assign projects to different categories.
Adding Alt Description in Microsoft Office Apps Tutorial
Created tutorial for adding alternative text description to images in Microsoft Office Apps (Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).
Changing PowerPoint Reading Order Tutorial
Created tutorial on "Changing PowerPoint Reading Order". Tutorial provides guidance on how to organize content in PowerPoint document by its importance. This is very important for accessibility tools such a Screen Readers to ensure the information is read correctly to user.
Adding Alt Descriptions in D2L Tutorial
Created a tutorial for how to add alternative descriptions to Desire2Learn course content.
Headings in Word and D2L Tutorials
Created a tutorial for the use of headings in Microsoft Word and Brightspace Desire2Learn. The correct organization of headings allows screen readers and other accessibility tools to correct present the content to users.
Formatting an Accessible Table in Word Tutorial
Created a tutorial on how to format an accessible table in Microsoft Word.
D2L Grading Settings Tutorial
Created a tutorial that explains to faculty and staff the different grade settings that are available in D2L.
D2L Gradebook Tutorial
Created a video tutorial showing step by step instruction on how to create a weighted gradebook in D2L.

Create survey in Microsoft Forms document from previous Google forms document for future use.
Distance Education Course Review Standards Survey
Create survey in Microsoft Forms document from previous Google forms document for future use.
ESU Digital Fellows Fall Application Survey
Create survey in Microsoft Forms document from previous Google forms document for future use.
Weighted Gradebook Basics
Facilitated a workshop in Zoom on the basics of creating a "Weighted Gradebook" in D2L.
Point-Based Gradebook Basics
Facilitated a workshop in Zoom on the basics of creating a "Point-Based Gradebook" in D2L.

Facilitated a workshop in Zoom on the settings available for an existing D2L Gradebook.
ESU Digital Fellows Badge
Design a badge for facility and staff to receive once they have completed the ESU Digital Fellowship Training.
